In MS-DOS Kermit, no. You can customize the answerback message
only by appending text to it, but you can't replace it. This is
a deliberate security measure.
Kermit 95 lets you set the answerback message to anything you like,
but it makes you jump through some hoops to do it, since it does
not want you to think it is a safe thing to do. Should you take
this route, of course, it is still not flow control. In Windows 95
and NT, etc, flow control is -- and must be -- provided by the
device driver, and ENQ/ACK is not supported by the Windows drivers.
